PATIENT TESTIMONIALS
"From the time I walked in the front door until Dr. Mackey started the physical therapy session it was a very pleasurable experience. I had an old sports injury that had come back to haunt me and I was in dire straits but after three sessions I had gained movement that had been lost. All the staff treated me like I was family (the ones you like) and that is something that is missing in many businesses. I would recommend these DOCTORS to anyone who is struggling with pain." Frozen shoulder is a condition that leads to pain and stiffness of the shoulder. It’s also known as adhesive capsulitis or shoulder contracture.Typically, you’ll experience shoulder pain which can become more severe over a number of months. In particularly severe cases, you may not be able to move your shoulder at all.
Frozen shoulder occurs when the flexible tissue that surrounds the shoulder joint, known as the capsule, becomes inflamed and thickened.
It’s not fully understood why this process happens. This can happen in one or both shoulders.
This condition can appear without any apparent reason, however, your risk of developing a frozen shoulder can increase if you have a previous shoulder injury or shoulder surgery, diabetes or a thyroid problem, Dupuytren’s contracture – a condition where small lumps of thickened tissue form in the hands and fingers other health conditions, such as heart disease and stroke
For most patients, Frozen shoulder can be reversed with proper care and treatment. Many of our patients notice an improvement after the first visit.
The typical medical treatment options for addressing frozen shoulder is masking symptoms with medications or surgery. Each doctor will only use the tools they are given based on their training. However, masking the symptoms with medications does not address what is causing your frozen shoulder and that is why the 7-Point Brain, Body & Gut Exam is so important.
Well that depends on the severity of your frozen shoulder. However most of our patients see an increase in mobility on their very first visit.
Unfortunately, insurance only covers two things, drugs and surgery. We choose not to use drugs or surgery and quite honestly, most of our patients have tried those with little to no lasting relief. The fact that you are here tells us that you too have experienced little to no relief from these options.
The simple truth is that there are zero insurance codes that we can even file with your insurance company, which means there is no coverage for these treatments and services. We do not make the rules however we do need to follow them.
Our 7-Point Brain, Body & Gut Exam is designed to pave the way for a pain-free life by identifying the most effective treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
Don't let frozen shoulder hold you back any longer; schedule your exam today and take the first step towards a life of freedom and comfort!
